ALPHA project

THE IDEA IS TO ANALYTICALLY LOOK AT OUR ENTIRE STUDIO SPACE, AND PRODUCE A REPRESENTATION OF THE SERIES OF LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS BY RELATING THIS TO RAPHAEL'S 'THE SCHOOL OF ATHENS'.

Step One:

After splitting Raphael’s painting into 18 quadrants, each student picket one. We are to use any media to redraw this part of the painting, and install the all the peaces back together.

Step Two:
As a class we are to develop and overlay layer of a section of IARC studio at large. We as a class decided to print this layer on Mylar and show interactions between students within spaces, to tie it back to Raphael’s painting.

Step Three:
We were supposed to reproduce an 11x17” drawing that manifests a ‘state of the studio’. We as a class decided to ‘break the rules’ and instead, each student manifested their own memories of one space within our building on a 5.5 x 4.5” paper.
